I own(ed) Pumas, Gerbers, Kershaw, etc. None held an edge like a carbon mora or green river. Now some of the current SS is another matter - Aus8, VG10, ATS 34/CP154 all are far better in edge holding and heat treatment, but not as good as 1095 series blades, IMO.
